Looking for that sweet treat to whip up in a flash? This is it!

Yummy chocolate covered Oreos literally take under 15 minutes to create and look so festive and beautiful. I used a variety of techniques to decorate {sprinkles, white chocolate splatters, marbling} and add a little festive touch to each Oreo. I also used mint Oreos (once again to add a festive touch!) but regular ones would be just as yummy!

Chocolate Covered Oreos

1 package Oreo cookies (303 gram package)

1 bag of chocolate chips (I used semi-sweet)

1 Tbsp coconut oil (vegetable oil works as well)

Decorative sprinkles etc.

1. Take out Oreos from package and place spaced out on baking sheet covered with tin foil or parchment paper.

2. Melt chocolate chips and oil in microwave safe container in 30 second increments, stirring in between. When there are no lumps or bumps left, you're ready to go!

3. Drop a single Oreo into your chocolate. Use a spoon to cover Oreo entirely with chocolate.

4. Once covered. use a fork to lift Oreo out and gently shake off any extra chocolate.

5. Place Oreo back onto covered baking sheet and choose design.

- Add sprinkles for some sparkle

- Melt a small amount of coloured chocolate and dip a fork into the chocolate. Hold over Oreo and move back and forth slowly, creating drizzles.

- Melt a small amount of white chocolate. Add in a small scoop of the chocolate you've used to cover your Oreos. Mix gently until swirls form. Dip in Oreo and gently lift out. Tada! Marbled Oreo!

6. Continue dipping until all Oreo cookies are covered and decorated.

7. Place baking sheet in freezer for them to set (about 5 minutes). They can be stored in a container in your freezer to preserve. Remember to separate the layers in your container with parchment paper!

8. Before serving, trim off any extra chocolate around the bottom of your cookie with a knife. Enjoy!
