Caprese Skewers

This recipe is so easy, so fresh and so delicious! I know I say that about all of my recipes but seriously, how much easier can this recipe get! I know it's a popular one, but what's wrong with sharing a tried and true recipe right?!

Making these caprese skewers is a breeze and they come together in no time at all. All you need is small skewers, small bite size mozzerella or bocconcini, fresh basil and cherry tomatoes. If you are feeling VERY fancy, you can also make (super easy but smelly...FYI) balsamic glaze to drizzle on top. Hope you've been enjoying these quick and easy appetizers to please your guests over the holidays :)

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 pint cherry tomatoes, rinsed and dried

  • 1 package fresh basil leaves

  • 1 package bite size mozzarella balls or bocconcini cheese

  • 20 small skewers

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Rise and dry cherry tomatoes. Skewer one onto each skewer.

  2. Next add a small fresh basil leaf. Some may need to be torn and folded into fourths to make for a small bite.

  3. Last, add on the cheese

  4. If using balasmic glaze, drizzle over before serving.

  5. Enjoy! Serve cold.
